Freshly Fallen Leaves, A Time For Reflection : The Renaissance Experience

Freshly Fallen Leaves, A Time For Reflection

by Renaissance Farms on 10/24/19

We had our first chilled night.  The expression “fall is in the air” could not have been more true.  You can begin to see the changing of colors on the mountainside.  Soon there will be hues of orange, red, yellow, and brown.  Fall always brings with it a time of reflection.  Did we make the most out of those precious few summer days, places we went, things we did, people we met.  Have we made the most out of all our days, places we have gone, things we have done, people we have met.  A walk down a tree lined country lane.  Freshly fallen leaves underfoot.  The quite of reflection.  The calm of fall cast a spell.  It is time to take stock.  As Henry David Thoreau said, “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived”.  Our summer was full of new and old friends, great food, incredible hikes, and relaxing by the lake.  To all of you who help make this possible.  We would like to extend our warmest thanks.
